Musk says “excitement guaranteed” at Starship Eyes launch in March

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said Sunday that the fully reusable Super Heavy Lift spaceship could launch next month but sounded far from optimistic about the prospects of success.

What happened: Musk responded to a tweet on Sunday asking about the status of Starship. “If [the] remaining tests are going well, we will attempt a Starship launch next month,” he said.

He later clarified that a launch is not certain but will be attempted, adding that “success is far from certain but excitement is guaranteed”.

Why it matters: Starship is touted”the greatest rocket of all time‘ and is the key to realizing Musk’s long-cherished dream of making the human species multiplanetary.

However, the launch of the rocket was plagued by delays due to breakdowns and federal regulatory approvals.

Currently being developed at a South Texas location near the village of Boca Chica, Starship consists of a first stage booster called Super Heavy and a 50 meter high upper stage starship called Starship.

Although Musk has been more focused on his other two companies, Tesla And Twitterin recent months are SpaceX employees He is reportedly doing well without his presence.
