Tesla Inc‘S TSLA Full Self-Driving Beta 11.4 will ship to Tesla employees on Monday, then “incrementally expand as confidence builds,” according to the CEO Elon Musk.
What happened: Tesla CEO musk said Sunday that FSD Beta 11.4 will be shipped to employees on Monday. Wider delivery will follow as confidence grows, the CEO added. Musk was responding to a poll on the Twitter account Entire Mars catalogue.
“We test as much as possible in simulation and with QA drivers, but [the] The reality is far more complex,” said Elon Musk.
Why it matters: Musk tested the update last week and said it was “excellent.”
“V11.4 is excellent. Several days of driving to random pin drop locations in Austin. Zero safety-critical interventions,” Musk had said.
There are “significant improvements” in the new update, Musk said on Sunday, while adding that v11.4 should probably be v12.0. However, v12 is reserved if FSD is end-to-end AI, Musk said, building anticipation.
The CEO also requested one F1 race between a pure electric vehicle and a hybrid vehicle over the weekend, with Twitter urging to point out that electric single-seater racing is already happening.
