Musk urges younger presidents: ‘You don’t want to be too far from…

After years of voting for the Democrats Tesla Inc TSLA chairman Elon Musk recently admitted to vote for the Republicans. Musk has a favorite candidate for the 2024 presidential election and also fought President Joe Bidentwo topics covered in a recent interview.

What happened: Musk was louder and louder about his political beliefs and the candidates he favored last year. He identifies as moderate and supports both Democrats and Republicans. The Tesla CEO currently supported Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for the 2024 presidential election.

musk said of the Financial Times, he has considered creating a Super Moderate Super PAC to support both Republican and Democratic candidates with moderate views.

Musk said in the interview that he doesn’t hate the former president donald trumpalthough he did not always get along with him during his tenure.

One point Musk should improve for president is the choice of younger ones.

“You don’t want to be too far from the average age of the population because it’s going to be very difficult to keep in touch… Maybe a generation away from the average age is fine, but two generations? At the point where you have great-grandchildren, I don’t know how well connected you are to people?” Musk said.

He added that billionaires could be good money managers and effective in making welfare decisions.

“If the alternative custodian of capital is the government, it’s not actually going to be to the benefit of the people.”

Musk versus Joe Biden: Along with saying President Biden is too old for office, the Tesla CEO said was vocal about the current President not recognizing Tesla’s achievements.
