SEONGNAM, South Korea, December 5, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — As a result of the company’s collaboration with Samsung Electronics, NAVER’s scope of hyperscale AI technology is expanded to the semiconductor industry.

NAVER Corporation (CEO Choi Soo-yeon) and Samsung Electronics (CEO Jong Hee Han, Kye Hyun Kyung) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on the development of semiconductor solutions for AI and formed a working-level working group.

The two companies said the joint collaboration between NAVER, a global internet company with world-class AI technology, and Samsung Electronics, the world leader in advanced storage technology, will take Korea’s AI technology to the next level with the development of new semiconductor solutions that will contribute to transform AI-enabled companies of the future.

The development of semiconductor solutions for AI technology requires a convergence of competencies not only in hyperscale AI, but also in software, service and hardware. NAVER and Samsung Electronics, both leaders in their respective fields, will join forces to develop new semiconductor solutions capable of eliminating bottlenecks in the current AI system and improving power consumption efficiency, taking into account actual hyperscale AI maximize environment.
