The irony is that the crash, which is central to a crash test, only occurs at the end of the video.
Twitter users flooded Tesla with comments that reflected a range of emotions.
One user said: “Just like the truck! It never arrives,” apparently a shot at Tesla for unduly delaying launch (the Cybertruck, first announced in November 2019, has yet to see the light of day).
Another wrote: “I feel bad about the walls crashing into this bulletproof beast” – referring to the Tesla CEO Elon Muskclaims that the Cybertruck is bulletproof. However, reports have stated that only the windows and not the actual body of the electric pickup truck appear to be bulletproof.
On Saturday, a Tesla influencer also shared another video of the Cybertruck crash test under the Twitter handle $ICannot_Enough, saying, “This is all the footage that survived the collision.”
In response, one Twitter user said, “This is a pretty cool new take on Cybertruck.”
