Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. KURLF CURA announced that on 17 The BBoard of Directors of the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory (CRC) reversed and voted to approve Curaleaf’s cannabis licenses for adult use.

The CRC board’s decision came after the first vote to overturn its April 13 decision when they attempted to deny Curaleaf’s license renewals for adult use.

Curaleaf CEO Matt Darin stated: “Today’s decision by the CRC Board of Directors to end their unprecedented action of the past week is an incredible victory for our 500 NJ team members and a confirmation of what we have known all along: Curaleaf has a strong reputation with the CRC and has completed all required requirements for the renewal of our licenses.I am incredibly proud and grateful for each and every one of the hundreds of dedicated team members who have turned out today, not only for their jobs and livelihoods, but for a better and safer cannabis industry in New Jersey. “

In a previous attempt not to renew Curaleaf’s adult use licenses, the CRC Board had disregarded the Commission’s recommendation to renew Curaleaf’s adult use licenses and the fact that the company had no pending licenses has violations.

As part of the approval, Curaleaf will provide the Commission with additional information about its labor practices and confirm its ongoing compliance with New Jersey law.
