BAT BTI has named Caroline Ferland as a nominee for Organigram Holdings Inc.’S OGI OGIboard of directors. Caroline Ferland is a lawyer with extensive international experience helping multinationals operate with confidence and integrity in highly regulated and high-risk environments. As BAT’s first group leader for business conduct and compliance, Caroline led the design and implementation of BAT’s global compliance and ethics program. Caroline is also experienced in conducting strategic litigation and regulatory investigations.
In 2014, she received Advocatus Emeritus recognition from the Quebec Bar Association. She previously served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Quebec Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and of the Center d’accès à l’information juridique. She has also served as director of other bodies such as the Fondation Marie-Vincent, the Barreau du Québec and the Barreau de Montréal.
Ferland is a chartered director and a recognized administrator de sociétés certifié. Caroline holds a BA in Economics from Université de Sherbrooke and a BCL and LL.B in Law from McGill University. Ferland’s appointment brings the total number of directors of the company to ten.
