KINGSTON, ON / ACCESSWIRE / July 20, 2022 / Purafy Clean Technologies (“Purafy” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce a commercial partnership with Australia-Singapore water and wastewater treatment company De.mem Ltd Markets.
In exchange for Purafy’s unique graphene oxide (GO) nanoparticles for application in ultrafiltration membrane fibers, De.mem grants Purafy exclusive rights to use De.mem’s enhanced GO membrane in Purafy’s portable and domestic water purification products.
Under the terms of the agreement, De.mem will have exclusive access to Purafy’s graphene oxide nanoparticles for use in De.mem’s polymer ultrafiltration membrane. De.mem has extensively tested Purafy’s GO nanoparticles and has given preference to several other similar materials. Its unique properties allow De.mem to manufacture GO-enhanced polymer-based ultrafiltration membranes with significantly improved filtration properties.
The new GO membrane technology has been validated in industrial pilot projects in Singapore and has been proven to deliver 20-40% higher water flux (= throughput or volume of clean water produced) compared to standard polymer ultrafiltration membranes combined with superior rejection of pollutants.
In return, De.mem grants Purafy the exclusive rights to use this unique GO ultrafiltration membrane in Purafy’s portable and domestic water purification products. De.mem intends to initially market Purafy’s home water treatment products in Australia and Singapore. Commercial launch in the North American and Australian markets is pending regulatory product certifications, which are expected to be achieved within the next 6-12 months.
“This commercial partnership agreement with De.mem represents an important validation point and milestone for Purafy in the manufacture of our graphene oxide materials…
