BASEL, Switzerland and LONDON and NEW YORK and BOSTON, February 21, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Roivant Sciences ROIV announced today that its founder, Vivek Ramaswamy, has resigned from the company’s Board of Directors to focus on his US Presidential campaign.

Vivek founded Roivant in 2014 with a vision to revolutionize drug development. In the past decade, the FDA has granted six FDA approvals for drugs developed by Vants and brought to market by Roivant, including VTAMA, which was approved for plaque psoriasis in 2022.

In January 2021, Vivek stepped down from his day-to-day role as the company’s CEO. He was chairman of Roivant until February 20, 2023.
