Cruise ship operators Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. RCL announced on Tuesday that it would use it SpaceX unit Starlink High speed, low latency satellite internet connection.

What happened: Royal Caribbean said it intends to install the service on all of Royal Caribbean’s international cruise lines, Celebrity Cruises and Silver Cruises, along with all new ships for each of the brands.

SpaceX is led by Elon Musk – the richest person in the world who also serves as the CEO of Tesla Inc. TSLA, neurolink and the boring company.

The mission is to begin immediately after the trial on board the “Freedom of the Seas”. The installation would be completed by the first quarter of 2023. The service would also enable high-bandwidth activities such as video streaming, as well as video calls.

“Our goal as a company is to provide our guests with the best vacation experiences in a responsible manner and this new offering, which represents the largest public deployment of Starlink’s high-speed internet in the travel industry to date, demonstrates our commitment to that cause.” said jason freedom, CEO of Royal Caribbean.

Musk quoted Royal Caribbean’s tweet about the announcement and said, “Kickass internet connectivity is coming soon to Royal Caribbean ships!”

Why it matters: Musk’s Starlink now has a portability feature and is also available for recreational vehicles. It recently started offering connectivity at sea for merchant ships, oil rigs and premium yachts.

SpaceX has reached a whole new dimension and announced a partnership with T-Mobile US, Inc. TMUS to offer last week Satellite connection to phones. In announcing the new feature, Musk said it would help end cellphone “dead zones.”
