On January 13, 2023, Brookdale issued a press release announcing “select changes to its full-year 2022 financial expectations based on its preliminary, unaudited results.” Among other things, Brookdale reported that “[f]Adjusted EBITDA for the full year will be slightly below the previously released range.” Brookdale also announced that “Steven E. Swain, who serves as Brookdale’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, will retire effective February 24, 2023 becomes.”
As a result of this news, Brookdale’s stock price fell $0.18 per share, or 6.19%, to close at $2.73 per share on January 13, 2023.
