Singapore is introducing a new work pass called the Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass in 2023 to attract top talent from diverse fields such as business, arts and culture, sports, science and technology, and science and research.

Details of the application process will be released closer to January 1, 2023, the government said.

authorization: Applicant should have earned a monthly fixed salary of at least S$30,000 (US$21,382) within the last year or should be earning a minimum of S$30,000 monthly fixed salary from their prospective Singapore-based employer.

“People with outstanding achievements in arts and culture, sports, science and technology, and science and research can qualify even if they do not meet the salary criterion,” the government clarified.

Singapore’s Labor Minister, Tan See Lengsaid Bloomberg This salary is only a proxy and therefore the S$30,000 threshold for the ONE visa should not be overstated.

advantages: The pass offers several advantages. Once an applicant gets the pass, they can start, operate and work for multiple companies at the same time. The candidate does not need to apply for a new passport if they change jobs, and their spouse can work on an informed consent form.
