Sproule Announces Agreement to Acquire Global Subsurface Business from SGS

CALGARY, Feb. 10, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Sproule, a leading global energy consulting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce an agreement to acquire Subsurface Consultancy (“SSC”) from SGS SA (“SGS”), based in the Netherlands to announce . Based in Geneva, SGS is a testing, inspection and certification company recognized as a global benchmark for sustainability, quality and integrity. SSC performs reserve certification, seismic interpretation, integrated subsurface surveys and provides expert services to clients on various energy projects worldwide, but primarily in Europe and the Middle East.

“This acquisition strengthens Sproule’s existing reservoir services, geothermal and energy consulting teams, particularly in the European market. This acquisition combines SSC’s deep and extensive track record in reservoir studies, expert testimony and consulting services with Sproule’s growing global platform. The combined expertise, industry contacts and technical acumen offer customers an even more compelling value proposition. SSC will be integrated into Sproule’s existing team in the Netherlands. The transaction is scheduled to close on March 1, 2023.
