Foxconn and its subsidiaries FIH Mobile and Stellatis signed a joint venture agreement, and Mobile Drive was born. The company will focus on providing smart cabin solutions, completely changing current design practices and promoting the development of connected smart cars.
The agreement was signed after a memorandum of understanding was originally signed on May 18. Mobile Drive will be owned equally by Stellattis and FIH.
This cooperation combines Foxconn’s ICT and smart solution capabilities with Stellatis’ automotive experience to ensure the growth of Mobile Drive.
Specifically, Mobile Drive will focus on the development of infotainment and telematics solutions and cloud service platforms, aiming to provide a complete smart cab solution. Software innovations will also include applications based on artificial intelligence, navigation, voice assistance, e-commerce store operations and payment service integration.
Hardware innovations will be associated with smart cockpits and telematics boxes.
