The new partnership demonstrates StoreDot’s dual commitment to a fast and responsible EV transition

HERZLIYA, Israeland LONDON, January 31, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — StoreDotthe pioneer of extremely fast charging battery technology for electric vehicles, has entered into a partnership with circularthe leading supply chain traceability solution to trace the origin and CO2 emissions of the raw materials used in its battery cells and manufacturing process to demonstrate responsible, sustainable and ethical sourcing.

StoreDot is pioneering faster charge times and increased reliability by developing cell technology capable of driving 100 miles on a five-minute charge by 2024. In parallel with driving demand for EVs through longer range and faster charging times, StoreDot is also focused on its sustainable product efforts, working with Circulor to create transparent battery supply chains to make global automakers fully traceable and assist them in meeting regulatory requirements support.

StoreDot and Circulor’s collaboration has already begun and the two companies are implementing Circulor’s traceability solution to track upstream battery material production and the corresponding embedded carbon emissions. This information gives StoreDot transparency and allows the company to make this information available to EV OEM customers and regulators who require information on environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts.

StoreDot is also thebattery passProject as an associate member alongside Circulor, which is a founding member of the consortium and is leading the technology workstream. The two companies will continue to work on the project to strengthen industry collaboration and prepare for the adoption of the EU Battery Regulation.
