What happened: the Tim cook-owned company is seriously considering making touchscreen Macs, a move heralded by its co-founder Steve Jobs as “ergonomically terrible” reported Bloomberg.

Apple could launch its first touchscreen Mac in 2025 as part of a major update to its MacBook Pro model, people familiar with the matter have told Bloomberg.

Ongoing work on the touchscreen laptop is focused on keeping the traditional laptop design with a trackpad and keyboard, but the screen would support touch and gestures just like the iPhone or iPad, Bloomberg wrote Markus Gurman.

Apple did not immediately respond to Benzinga’s request for comment.

“Touch surfaces don’t want to be vertical,” Jobs reportedly said in 2010. “After a long time your arm wants to fall off.”
