Tesla Inc‘s TSLA The Reno, Nevada manufacturing facility has reportedly undergone a management change.

What happened: Teslas Nevada Gigafactory has seen a leadership shake with the exit of Chris Listerthe former vice president of Gigafactory Operations, with Hrushikesh “hrushi” Sagar take the helm, CNBC reported, based on leaked audio from an international Tesla meeting.

Sagar reportedly spoke to hundreds of Gigafactory employees on Thursday afternoon about management changes, factory milestones and new goals for the facility.

“I really appreciate what Chris Lister has done here…Elon and Tesla are very grateful for his contribution, but at the same time we are now moving to the next phase,” he said, according to CNBC.

Tesla did not immediately respond to gasoline gas requests for comment at the time of writing.

Why it matters: Lister was vice president of operations at Tesla for just over four years and was previously at PepsiCo PEP according to his LinkedIn profile for 22 years.

According to LinkedIn, Sagar has been Tesla’s senior director, vehicle operations and manufacturing for the past two months.

He reports directly to the CEO Elon Musk and will also be responsible for Tesla’s assembly plant in Fremont, California, CNBC noted.

New goals: Sagar reportedly said that Tesla made 134,000 cars at its Fremont factory in the second quarter of 2022 and August was a record month.

He said the California plant can produce 12,000 cars a week and aims to increase that to 14,000 as the next target, according to CNBC.

At the meeting, Tesla Site Leader Eric Montgomery Reportedly told employees to strive to output 8,800 high-voltage battery packs per week to meet Fremont’s production goals. He also urged employees to “maximize all-wheel drive designs.”
