Feature Film The Skeleton’s Compass Receives Pigeon Seal of Approval for All Ages
08/23/2022 / PRZen / ATLANTA — Apple TV has set the world premiere date of director Sandra L. Martin’s feature film, The Skeleton’s Compass, to September 6, 2022. Written by Cris Loveless, the film was shot in Georgia, the new hotbed for the world film industry, and offers new and exciting locations not typically seen in other Georgia productions. With scenes shot at the Consolidated Goldmines just north of Atlanta in Dahlonega GA, home of the first American Gold Rush, the film is visually stunning. This gives the film a truly unique and homemade feel that complements the film’s plot tremendously. Mercy Road Entertainment and Mapelle Films co-produced the feature film and Giant Pictures is proud to soon be distributing it as a family favourite. In the film, growing-up teenagers embark on an exciting, last-ditch adventure in hopes of saving the only home “Champ” (Luke Loveless) ever knew. Along with his friends “Stryker” (Caleb Baumann from shows on Nickelodeon and The Disney Channel), “Jeanne” (Reagan Shumate) and “Pip” (Abbie Grace Flynt), the four go back in time only to deal with dangerous and… meeting dangerous people menacing characters who only “care for themselves”! The four unwittingly enlist the help of Champ’s mother “Carol Brown”, played by Patty Lambert, from the films “My Sweet Holiday”, “Christmas Comes Home”, and Champ’s father “Tim Brown”, played by Joey Thurmond, from Spike Lees Son of the South, Scott Free, Ninety Sunsets and others to help them dig for native Cherokee gold.
Joey, along with fellow cast members Lucas Till, Lucy Hale, Cedric The Entertainer and others, recently won Best Cast Ensemble and Feature Film of the Year at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival for Son of the South.
