As one of the richest people in the world Bill Gates can choose how to spend their wealth. A unique object owned by Gates resides in his office and is a central topic of discussion for those lucky enough to see it. Many people have no idea it exists.

What happened: Many have experienced this over the years Microsoft Co-founder and former CEO Bill Gates is one of the largest owners of farmland in the United States.

In addition to owning land, Gates has an investment portfolio that includes interests in Microsoft and other companies.

Another Bill Gates asset is a real-life recreation of the periodic table, which includes patterns or representations of the elements found on the chart.

“Apart from being a nice piece of art, the periodic table reminds me how one discovery can lead to countless others,” says Gates tweeted when someone recently shared the fun fact.

People on Twitter added that the periodic table in Gates’ office does not include samples of the radioactive elements.

Why it matters: 2019 actor Will Smith wanted to meet Bill Gates during a press tour in Seattle and got his wish. Smith could see the periodic table firsthand and showing it to people around the world via his Instagram.

“His office is ridiculous,” Smith said.

The periodic table takes up a whole wall, and Smith stared at him in amazement.

“This is fantastic. I could steal this.”

Gates shared in 2019 that he loves showing people the real-life periodic table that adorns his office.

“When people come to my office, I like to show them my favorite version. Consisting of samples of each element, it reminds me every day of why I am so fascinated by science and technology,” Gates explains called.

Gates’ post came as the periodic table celebrated its 150th birthday. 1869 Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev laid the framework for today’s periodic table.
