donald trump is scheduled to be held in conjunction with a rally in Miami, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) on November 6th, and the governor of the state Ron DeSantis will not be part of the scheme of things, reports say.

The rally is scheduled for November 6, just two days before the midterm elections.

The removal of DeSantis from the campaign event is especially important because the governor is up for re-election. Some in the DeSantis camp are upset that the former president announced the itinerary without notifying the Florida governor, Politico reported.

The timing of the Trump-Rubio rally meant any campaign event DeSantis might hold on the same day wouldn’t draw much attention, the report added.

“They completely hijacked the Sunday before Election Day by Trump jumping off Trump Force One all day,” a Republican adviser close to DeSantis said, without naming the person, Politico reported.

Another reportedly said it was “an elbow in Ron’s throat”.

However, the Trump camp played it down, saying it was part of a four-city tour the former president is undertaking ahead of the election.

Trump and DeSantis haven’t been on good terms lately, especially as the latter is being mooted as a potential presidential nominee in 2024. Following the publicity the Florida governor received with his infamous move to transport refugees to Martha’s Vineyard, Trump reportedly said his aides that DeSantis stole the thunder from him.
