VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 1, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — GoldQuest Mining Corp. GQC “GoldQuest” or the “Company”))) is pleased to announce that Mr. Luis Santana Pereyra has assumed his position as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and Director of the Company today. Mr. Santana will be based in Santo Domingo and will be initially responsible for obtaining the exploration license for the Romero Project (the “Permit”) in the Province of San Juan, Dominican Republic and supervising exploration and environmental studies.

A citizen of the Dominican Republic, Luis is a qualified engineer with over 25 years of mining and mineral processing experience. Luis has an impressive history of working with Glencore – Falcondo and Altonorte mines in the Dominican Republic and Chile, BHP Billiton – Olympic Dam mine in Australia, Barrick – Pueblo Viejo mine in the Dominican Republic, Barrick & Shandong Gold – Veladero mine in Argentina and most recently worked together as CEO for Shandong Gold/Cardinal Resources’ Namdini Gold Project in Ghana.
