A fake account with the handle @EliLillyandCo posted this on Twitter last week Eli Lilly and Co LLY is Giving away free insulin.
In response to the fake report, the company clarified that the account sending the message was not the actual pharma giant’s Twitter handle. The company took to Twitter and apologized for the misleading tweet.
We apologize to anyone who received a misleading message from a fake Lilly account. Our official Twitter account is @LillyPad.

The @EliLillyandCo Twitter account had a blue tick indicating the account was legitimate. Someone posing as the company spokesman wrote: “We are pleased to announce that insulin is now free.”
according to a reportthe fake Eli Lilly post has now been flagged as a parody profile.
The incident now raises questions about the Twitter CEO Elon Musk’s Announcing a subscription service by paying $8 a month for the Twitter Blue Mark.

The pranksters were able to create a fake account on Twitter by paying the amount and receiving a blue flag advertising it as an authentic account.
Similarly, someone has embodied Lockheed Martin Corp LMTand using a fake Twitter Blue account, said the company is halting arms sales to a number of countries.
