Twitter Inc. TWTR Link Spotlight is now available to all professionals in the US
What happened: The social media company’s new Link Spotlight adds an interactive button to users’ profiles that can direct their customers to the touchpoints they want — to view a menu, listen to a podcast, or even make a reservation, to name a few to name.
The latest addition allows brands to add a URL with a floating call-to-action (CTA) button to their Twitter profile. The announcement came after extensive testing over the past few months, reported social media today.

Once the CTA message is selected, users can activate the new Link Spotlight on their profile, which will appear above the tweet timeline.
Currently the CTA options for US professionals are:
- Make an appointment
- listen now
- To make a reservation
- read now
- See now
- stream live
- view menu
- look now
Some CTAs target creators and guide profile visitors to rate users’ content. That options also provide various drivers for referral traffic that can ultimately help give businesses more traction.
Why it matters: Twitter currently only allows the inclusion of 34 domains as a click-through option. Some helpful options include alphabet inc‘s Google youtube, Live Nation Entertainment Inc.‘s LYV Ticketmaster, podcasting platforms and food delivery services.
However, users cannot post any link. It’s allowed to include a link in the main profile options, but the CTA button doesn’t specifically connect through these pages.
