US stocks closed higher on Monday, with the Nasdaq Composite up more than 90 points amid gains Microsoft Corporation MSFT and apple inc AAPL shares.
Let’s take a look at the major economic events scheduled for today.
- The S&P Corelogic Case-Shiller House Price Index for August is scheduled to be released at 9:00 am ET. Analysts expect the monthly rate to fall 0.8% in August after falling 0.4% in July.
- The FHFA Home Price Index for August is released at 9:00 am ET. The home price index is forecast to fall 0.7% in August after falling 0.6% in the previous month.
- The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index for October is scheduled for release at 10:00 am ET. The consumer confidence index is expected to fall 2.0 points to 106.0 in October.
- The Richmond Fed October manufacturing index will be released at 10:00 am ET. The index is expected to drop to minus 3 in October, having previously been at zero.
- The Treasury will auction 2-year notes at 1:00 p.m. ET.
- Money supply data for September will be released at 13:00 ET.
