The person behind the new Leak of a large amount of confidential US intelligence documents was reportedly identified as a man working at a “military base”.

What happened: The person reportedly shared the sensitive secret documents with a tight-knit group of friends on the online chat platform Discord, reported The Washington Post.

The publication reported the bombshell development based on interviews with a teenager who claims to be friends with the leaker, known only as “OG” on the Discord group.

“He’s a smart person. Of course, he knew what he was doing when he published these documents. This were no accidental leaks of any kind‘ the unnamed teenager told the publication.

“He’s fit. He is strong. He’s armed. He’s trained. Pretty much everything you could want from a crazy movie,” said the leaker’s alleged boyfriend, adding that he is in his early to mid-20s.

According to the teenager, “OG” regularly shared information about it he claimed was classified with him and about two dozen other people who were part of a private Discord group called “Thug Shaker Central”.

“OG” was the admin of the group.

“We’ve all grown very close, like a close-knit family,” the teen said, adding that the chat group was formed at the height of the pandemic in 2020.

He added that “OG” received the documents from his office, which is an unnamed “military base.” He had access to a secure facility on the premises.

Since the story of the leak broke on April 6th, “OG” has reportedly come onto the server in a “frantic” manner. The report added that “OG” had only been communicating with some server members “over the past few days.” He is described as upset and uncertain about resolving the ongoing situation.
