VetPartners reveals Spanish expansion | Post

Practice and Medicine veterinary The center has become Vetpartners’ first Spanish practice partner.

Praxia is a referral clinic specializing in various fields including cardiology and orthopaedics, headquartered in Elche, Alicante, and the founding clinic of the Veterinary Group in Spain.A second practice quickly followed the acquisition after the Medican Veterinary Centre in Madrid also joined veterinary partner.

Among VetPartners’ expansion in the UK, Italy, France, Switzerland and Germany, managing director Augusto Macias sees greater growth potential in Spain as well.

Led by veterinarians, Vetpartners was founded in 2015 by CEO Jo Malone and has 188 small animal, mixed animal, farm and equestrian clinics and employs more than 7,000 people across nearly 550 UK locations and its York headquarters.

In collaboration with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Murcia, Praxia offers residencies in a variety of specialties including Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Oncology and Surgery. The clinic was previously owned by Rafael Garcia, head of cardiopulmonary services, and Julio Conde, certificate holder in small animal surgery.
