- Vuzix Corp VUZI has acquired Moviynt, a US-based provider of software solutions for SAP-certified ERP platforms. That Financial terms were not disclosed.
- Moviynt, a specialty boutique software company founded in 2018 by three principals, has developed a logistic mobility software platform (Mobilium) that eliminates the need for traditional middleware and is device agnostic.
- The acquisition of Moviynt further positions Vuzix as a software solution provider capable of expanding access and interaction between wearable and wearable devices.
- The company anticipates that the agreement will support handheld cellphones and scanners used in logistics, warehousing and manufacturing applications.
- With the acquisition, Moviynt becomes the wholly owned subsidiary of Vuzix. The acquisition is expected to be profitable with a low six figure revenue contribution forecast for Q4FY22.
- Mobilium can support multiple ERP systems and modern warehouse picking with portable devices, handheld devices and even cell phone based systems.
- Vuzix held $100.6 million in cash and equivalents from June 30, 2022.
