High school cafeteria clerk arrested for selling edibles containing THC to students

Tymetrica Cohn, a high school cafeteria worker, was arrested in Louisana on Jan. 20 on suspicion of selling cannabis edibles to students.

What happened

The Tangipahoa Township Sheriff’s Office first received an anonymous tip from Crime Stoppers that someone was selling food at the school. reported WFTV9. Sheriff’s Office Chief Jimmy Travis confirmed that drug agents then launched an investigation that led to the identification of Cohn as the putative suspect.

Cohn was arrested and charged with:

(1) Counting – possession/distribution of CDS I

(1) Count – Distribution of a CDS in a drug-free zone.

“The safety of our students is paramount to our school system,” said Tangipahoa Parish School System Superintendent Melissa Stilley. “I want to commend this student for seeing and using the P3 app to bring this threat to the attention of our school officials and law enforcement.”

The investigations are ongoing.
