Wemade and MISA join forces to advance the gaming industry in Saudi Arabia

Seoul, South Korea, April 25, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Wemade, the South Korean game developer behind global blockchain gaming platform WEMIX PLAY, today announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Investment Saudi Arabia (MISA). The agreement will focus on the development and growth of the gaming and blockchain sectors Saudi Arabia.

MISA works with international companies to optimize investment and expansion initiatives Saudi Arabia. As part of Vision 2030, which focuses on diversifying the country’s energy-based economy, the ministry aims to facilitate business opportunities for foreign companies in the country through a range of services and networks to leading players in the local ecosystem.

Wemade attended the Saudi-Korea Investment Forum November 2022where meetings with were held Saudi Arabia investment minister Khalid A. Al-Falih and other Saudi officials. After the visit of Minister Al-Falih Saudi Arabia Interest in Wemade increased, leading to a partnership with Savvy Games Group’s Nine66 unit and official meetings held during the LEAP Tech conference. Wemade and Nine66 are collaborating to explore various programs targeting training, educational content, game localization and sponsorship of regional events, among others.
