Why Rocket Companies Stock Takes Off After Hours – Rocket…

Rocket Companies Inc RKT Shares are higher in extended trading on Tuesday after the company narrowly beat analysts’ estimates on both top and bottom line.

What happened: Rocket Companies reported fourth-quarter adjusted sales of $683 million, beating consensus estimates of $682.73 million, according to data from Gasoline Pro. The Detroit-based company reported a quarterly loss of 10 cents a share, beating estimates for a loss of 11 cents a share.

Rocket mortgage generated $19 billion in completed loan volume in mortgage origination. Profit on sales margin was 2.17%, which the company says was largely impacted by better-than-expected demand for its ad buy product, Inflation Buster.

Rocket accounts reached 25.4 million at the end of the quarter. The company ended the quarter with total cash of $8.1 billion, including $3.3 billion in cash.

“Last year was a period of transformation for Rocket. We have right-sized our business to respond to a challenging market; we have also made important investments to better serve our customers at every step of their home ownership journey,” said Jay FarnerCEO of Rocket Companies.

“With the foundational elements of our customer loyalty program, we are focused on expanding our top-of-funnel, increasing conversion and reducing our customer acquisition costs, with the ultimate goal of increasing our in-market market share and customer lifetime value to extend.”

Rocket Companies sees First quarter revenue in a range of $700 million to $850 million versus estimates of $805.81 million.

RKT Price Promotion: Rocket Companies shares traded in a 52-week range of $5.97 to $14.31.
