(DWAC) – Why 2 of Trump’s Lawyers Could Be Engaged in FBI Investigation…

Two attorneys for the former president Donald Trump’s The legal team could be called as witnesses or become involved in an obstruction investigation related to the search and seizure of Mar-a-Lago.

What happened: Christina Bobb and Evan Corcoran could become targets of the obstruction investigation to establish links with the US Ministry of Justice (DoJ) during the administration’s months-long effort to obtain materials from Trump’s Florida home, The Guardian reportedciting legal experts.

Bobb and Corcoran reportedly issued statements on June 3 that they complied with a grand jury subpoena that was found to be false, according to a DoJ court filing.

Why it matters: While Bobb had signed a letter stating that the documents that were the subject of the subpoena had been turned over, Corcoran said they were reportedly being held in a single storage room.

The Justice Department continued to develop evidence that additional presidential and classified documents remained at the Palm Beach Club, which were found when the FBI searched the property two months later, the report said.

The DoJ is reportedly investigating a possible obstruction of justice related to the apparent reluctance of Trump and his attorneys to return the documents.

Legal experts told the Guardian the Justice Department must subpoena both attorneys to testify to determine if they misled prosecutors or if Trump misled them.

However, people close to Trump’s top lawyers do not believe Bobb or Corcoran would be forced to testify against the former president, the Guardian reported.

Trump hit investigators and recently required on truth social that the confiscated material be returned to him.

Truth Social is owned by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) – a company set to go public through a merger Digital World Acquisition Corp DWAC.
