Biden think tank reportedly raided by FBI in November

The USA Federal Office of Investigations sought a think tank linked to President Joe Biden classified documents were found organizing in mid-November by his aides in his private office.

What happened: The FBI search for the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement was carried out in cooperation with Biden’s representatives and no search warrant was requested, reported CBS News, citing people familiar with the matter.

The federal agency’s search was not previously announced by the White House, Biden’s personal attorneys, or the Justice Department, the report said.

Why it matters: Former President in August last year donald trump said that was the FBI mugged his home in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago. A later affidavit revealed this 15 boxes with documents were recovered from the estate.

After discovering classified documents from Biden’s private office, classified papers were also found at his home in Delaware by the Justice Department.

According to CBS News, the FBI had raided the Delaware home at the invitation of Biden’s attorneys.

Also Vice President Mike Pence’s attorney from the Trump era secret documents discovered last week at the former leader’s home in Indiana.

It’s unclear if the FBI searched Pence’s home. According to CBS News, the National Archives has asked the last six administrations up to Ronald Reagan to search for classified or presidential records in their possession.
