US stocks traded higher this morning after the release of October jobs data.

After Friday’s market open, the Dow was up 0.48% to 32,156.23, while the NASDAQ was up 0.13% to 10,355.88. The S&P 500 was also up 0.41% to 3,735.09.

Materials stocks gained 1.9% on Friday. lead the sector was power out Yamana Gold Inc. AUY and Taseko Mines Limited TGB.


In Friday trading, healthcare stocks fell 0.5%.

The US economy added 261,000 jobs last month, beating economists’ average estimate of 205,000 jobs. The US unemployment rate came in at 3.7%, short of the 3.5% level forecast by economists.

Wages rose 4.7% yoy and 0.4% from September.

Sentage Holdings Inc. SNTG Shares soared 59% to $4.84 after rising 24% on Thursday.

  • shares of Peak Bio, Inc. PKBO got a boost and shot up 32% to $5.01. Peak Bio announced the closing of a transaction to purchase up to $100 million of common stock with White Lion Capital. Ladenburg Thalmann has started coverage of Peak Bio with a Buy rating and announced a $15 price target.
  • BioAtla, Inc. BCAB Shares were also higher, gaining 24% to $7.87 after the company released financial results for the third quarter. The company also announced a $65 million underwritten offering.

Stocks are trading down

  • Funko, Inc. FNKO Shares fell 56% to $8.56 after the company reported worse-than-expected third-quarter EPS results.
  • shares of Pulmonx Corporation LUNG fell 51% to $6.00 after the company reported worse-than-expected third-quarter sales results.
  • NeuroBo Pharmaceuticals, Inc. NRBO declined, falling 45% to $2.55 after the company announced pricing for a $30 million underwritten public offering and concurrent private placement.
