Brewer has a rich history of service to the Democratic Party Michigan, and practices union labor, electoral, campaigning and non-profit laws. Warner is an experienced litigator practicing personal injury law.

Markus Brewer has had a distinguished career as a lawyer. After attending and completing his training at Stanford (JD) and Harvard (AB), Brewer has served as a judge on the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Judiciary Karl Levin of the Michigan Supreme Court. In 1995 he was elected chairman of the Michigan Democratic Party, of which he was a member until 2013. In 2013 he joined the law firm.

From 2005 to 2009, Brewer served as President of the Association of State Democratic Chairs. Here he worked alongside the DNC Chair Howard Dean and was instrumental in the “50 State Strategy” by helping to elect President Obama.
