Kamala Harris opens up on Kim Jong Un’s rocket launch, electric car subsidies…

US Vice President Kamala Harris will meet the South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol to discuss recent ballistic missile attempts by North Korea and Seoul consternation on new EV subsidies, Reuters reported.

What happened: Harris, who is leading the president’s delegation to Japan, will stop in Seoul on Thursday to meet Yoon and other government officials.

Corresponding White House Officials are on Kim Jong Un’s recent ballistic missile tests ahead of Harris’ visit and the US Inflation Reduction Act on the agenda of this meeting.

Harris’ visit to Seoul comes days after Yoon sought help from the President Joe Biden in New York to address his concerns about how the new law will hurt the country’s automakers.

Meanwhile, Harris will also condemn North Korea’s weapons tests ahead of her first visit to the DMZ, where the former president was donald trump talks held with the dictator Kim. Pyongyang on Wednesday fired two short-range ballistic missiles off its east coast.
