SAN JOSE, Calif., July 28, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Heritage Commerce Corp HTBK, The holding company (the “Company”) of Heritage Bank of Commerce (the “Bank” or “HBC”) today announced that effective September 15, Walter T. Kaczmarek will step down as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. 2022. At that time, Robertson “Clay” Jones, currently President and Chief Operating Officer of the Bank, will succeed him and become President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and the Bank. He will also serve on the Boards of Directors of the Company and the Bank. Mr. Kaczmarek will remain on the board of directors of both the company and the bank.

Mr. Jones joined the bank in 2019 as Executive Vice President, President of Community Business Banking. He was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer in 2021 and has been instrumental in the bank’s growth and success. Prior to joining the bank, Mr. Jones spent nearly a decade at Presidio Bank, where he assumed the role of President in 2018.
