SECU Foundation Awards $500,000 Grant to Senior Services to Support…

WINSTON-SALEM, NC, Feb. 20, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SECU Foundation recently received a $500,000 grant senior services, a Forsyth County nonprofit that offers programs that address the needs of older people and their caregivers. The grant will support the campus expansion of a new intergenerational arts and wellness center to provide comprehensive care for underserved and at-risk seniors.

Through the center, the nonprofit organization will provide collaborative services for seniors in physical health, dementia care and experiential arts education, respite services for caregivers, and clinical services across the age spectrum.

“Senior Services have been a valuable resource in the Winston-Salem area for many years and demand for their services continues to grow,” said Damian Carter, SECU Regional Senior Vice President. “We are excited to support their campus expansion as they work diligently to provide comfort and security to seniors and their families.”
