CHICAGO, December 19, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The International Kennel Club of Chicago (IKC) and The American Kennel Club (AKC) have signed a multi-year exclusive broadcast agreement designating CBS Chicago as the official media partner for the upcoming Great American Dog Show January 6-8, 2023held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center and the Chicago Dog Show August 25-27 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The agreement gives CBS Chicago the right to exclusively air four half-hour television specials covering the dog shows on both CBS2 and the CBS News Chicago streaming channel.

CBS Chicago will offer exclusive IKC and AKC content on both CBS2 and streaming channel CBS News Chicago throughout the partnership. in the January 2023, IKC and AKC content will be featured on various programs leading up to the Great American Dog Show. Then in Aug 2023a television special, The road to the Chicago Challenge Cup, will air on the CBS Chicago broadcast and streaming platforms. Additional content and specials will also air in 2024.
