Biden digs while tech issues plague DeSantis campaign, Elon Musk responds

Joe Biden threw up a dig Ron DeSantis on Wednesday when technical glitches affected the picture Announcing the Republican nominee’s bid for the White House At Twitter.

What happened: The planned official launch of the DeSantis campaign, with a Twitter interview with Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk, encountered technical difficulties during transmission. Many viewers lost sound at times; some could not participate or were unexpectedly dropped.

“We just have a tremendous amount of people online,” Musk said. “So the servers are a bit overloaded.”

Biden took a dig at DeSantis’ messy announcement Twitter’s servers kept crashingsaid, “This link works.” The President also posted a link urging his supporters to donate to his re-election campaign.

Dogecoin DOGE/USD co-founder Billy Markuspopularly known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto — called Biden’s sting a “solid piece of crap.”

“Okay, credit is due, that was a solid crap post,” Markus replied.

Musk appears to agree with Markus over Biden’s tweet, responding with a laughing emoji and the word “true.”

Why it matters: The technical difficulties at the Wednesday event stressed Twitter’s lack of smooth running, turning what was meant to be a momentous event into a somewhat embarrassing situation for the tech billionaire who bought the social media giant last year.

Musk shared a tweet from the entrepreneur David Sacks, who said Twitter was disrupted because the DeSantis campaign launch was the “biggest room” ever on the platform. Notably, Sacks was the moderator of the event.
