Both Trump and Biden acted inappropriately: New poll shows Americans…

president Joe Biden and former President donald trumpalthough both have run the country, they still have something in common – sticky fingers and an obvious craving for classified documents and Americans agree that it is inappropriate.

Although more Americans believe Trump’s abuse of classified documents was more serious, with 77% of respondents calling the behavior inappropriate, 64% believe Biden’s similar behavior with classified files was also inappropriate, according to a January Opinion poll conducted by ABC News/Ipsos.

Disapproval of the President’s actions varied according to respondents’ party affiliation, with Republicans finding Biden’s actions more reprehensible and Democrats finding Trump’s actions more serious.

Only 47% of Republicans think Trump’s handling of classified documents is inappropriate, compared to 95% of Democrats. 83% of Independents believe the behavior was inappropriate.

In the case of Biden’s mishandling of files, 38% of Democrats believe the president’s actions were inappropriate compared to 89% of Republicans (66% of independents agree).

The scenery

Both Biden and Trump have had their private offices and personal belongings searched by the FBI, where classified documents were discovered, and now face investigations by the Justice Department. Legally, the files are to be kept with the US National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).

While there are clear differences in each case, since Biden is reportedly working with the FBI while Trump is accused of obstruction of justice in the case against him, both are under investigation.
