In 2014, Tesla announced Tesla Autopilot (“Autopilot”), a suite of supposedly advanced driver assistance system (“ADAS”) features including automatic lane centering, traffic-aware cruise control, lane changing, semi-autonomous navigation, and self-steering parking. As of September 2014, all Tesla vehicles shipped with the sensors and software needed to support the Autopilot system. Since then, the company has touted refinements and improvements to the company’s ADAS and Autopilot features, including what it calls “Full Self-Driving” (“FSD”) software, which is said to allow Tesla vehicles to drive autonomously to an in-car entered destination to drive navigation system.
