One of London’s top rated cleaning companies, Cleaning Express has won the Workforce Development Award at the Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2022. The awards ceremony took place on Friday 7th October to celebrate business excellence at Royal Greenwich. There are around 11,600 businesses in this part of London, providing local residents with over 100,000 jobs. A total of 230 companies presented their skills and work in 12 categories.

On Friday October 7th, finalists in all categories were treated to a champagne reception and delicious lunch overlooking the River Thames at the InterContinental London, courtesy of Riney. The awards ceremony was hosted by Tim Campbell MBE, star of The Apprentice and Ambassador for Youth Employment and Social Enterprise Champion.

The Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2022 were hosted by O2 and had various sponsors. The main sponsors of the event were U+I and the South East London Chamber of Commerce. The Workforce Development Award was sponsored by London South East Colleges.

The Personnel Development Award

The Royal Greenwich Business Awards created the Workforce Development Awards to showcase the ability of companies to develop, nurture and empower their workforce. Companies had to demonstrate their commitment to their employees by providing information about the opportunities they have offered to local people and the development processes in place to ensure their employees are happy and successful during their time with the company.

To demonstrate skills in this category, a company can provide information about training programs to develop their employees’ skills, flexible working hours to ensure their employees can handle their jobs and social responsibilities, and additional programs that offer great opportunities to local people , provide. Businesses could also demonstrate areas of the business that they have improved to create a safer and friendlier environment for their employees.
