Former President Donald Trump’s Niece Mary Trump shared her thoughts on her uncle’s election victory in 2016 and how things are unfolding ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Donald Trump – a symptom of illness: The election of Donald Trump in 2016 was an index event, an ongoing trauma and like “an abuse scenario,” Mary Trump said in an episode of Ken Harbaugh’s “Burn The Boats” podcast that aired Tuesday.

“I’ve always thought of him as a symptom of a disease that has been rampant in public life for decades,” said Mary Trump, a psychologist.

She noted that her uncle came to “openly demonstrate what the Republican Party has actually stood for all along.” “I don’t think he changed the party, he just gave it away,” she added.

The disease has now metastasized, said Mary Trump. According to his niece, the 20 million votes Donald Trump received in 2020 are a “disgrace that this country will never live”.

“This country will never live with even getting him into the White House. And the fact that more people voted for him in 2020,” she said.

We are at the breaking point: Mary Trump also threw a swipe CNN for providing a platform for Donald Trump earlier this month. “Furthermore, when major media outlets like CNN decide to put their thumbs on the scales, we’re at a point of potentially no going back,” said the host of the Mary Trump Show podcast.

“We are certainly at a turning point. And to find out that not only did they agree with that, but they reached out to Donald so he had all the bargaining power,” she said.

Mary Trump also said her uncle got what he wanted — the right format, the right kind of presenter, and an audience of supporters who voted for him.

“I mean, it was literally a rally on a CNN set”…
