Edward Snowden calls Sam Bankman-Fried ‘kid with covered face’

Edward Snowden strike Sam Bankman Fried over his explanation of the crisis influence FTX FTT/USD on Thursday. Snowden compared the entrepreneur to a child who has taken a trip to a cookie jar.

What happened: Snowden, a former US intelligence official, pointed to a series of Bankman-Fried tweets detailing the liquidity crisis affecting FTX.

Bankman-Fried said that “poor internal labeling of bank-related accounts” caused him to deviate significantly from his sense of user margins.

“Child with a face covered in crumbs: ‘Poor internal labeling of cookie jars meant I was way off the mark with my sense of my parents’ margin,'” Snowden quoted as saying on Twitter.

Why it matters: In a separate tweet, Snowden said on FTX: “Don’t color me convinced”Alameda Research Crisis.

“I didn’t realize that the vast hoard of wealth that I’ve been constantly filching slush fund *owns*, man,” Snowden said.

“It was like… labels or something. What ever. Who among us hasn’t accidentally spent their clients’ life savings without realizing it?”

Snowden’s anger also fell on the White House on Thursday. He shared a snap of the White House press secretary on Twitter Karine Jean Pierre who commented after the FTX crisis: “Prudent regulation of cryptocurrencies is needed”.

“Opportunistic snakes,” Snowden said in the post.
