Twitter owner and manager Elon Musk said the “pressure from hundreds of activist staffers” led to the former president’s “de-platforming”. donald trump when he was in office.

What happened: After another installment of “Twitter Files” was released, Musk said that the staff “self-acknowledge that he [Trump] did not break the rules.”

“There’s a lot of employee representation going on,” Weiss said, quoting a Twitter worker.

Former CEO Jack Dorsey and the General Counsel of Twitter Vijaya Gade held a meeting on Jan. 8 to answer questions about why Trump wasn’t banned, but that angered some staffers, according to the Twitter files.

Musk restored Trump’s account after taking over the company, but the former president chose to do it Don’t use the platform until now.
