Hawaii Tourism Authority Issues RFPs for Destination Stewardship,…

HONOLULU, February 14, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The Hawai’i Tourism Authority (HTA), the state agency responsible for the holistic tourism and brand management of The Hawaiian Islands, has issued two Requests for Procurement Requests (RFPs) for procurement of brand management and marketing services The United Statesand destination stewardship support services, reflecting HTA’s move towards destination management in pursuit of a regenerative tourism model.

Tender 23-03: Hawaii travel destination Brand Management & Marketing Services for the US market

The focus of RFP 23-03 is on branding and marketing in The United States, Hawaii’s largest visitor source market. The solicitation calls for a pre-arrival communications program to educate visitors with specific information about safe, respectful and mindful travel that will be coordinated with HTA’s on-island programs to deliver a seamless message throughout the visitor journey.

Another marketing focus will be to increase visitor spending for Hawaii-based businesses to support a healthy economy, including supporting local businesses, purchasing Hawaiian-grown agricultural products, and promoting Hawaiian-made products. Market in partnership with HTA, the State Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT) and the private sector.

This brand marketing is aimed at mindful travelers with a focus on lifetime travel spend and increasing spend per person per day in line with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set out in HTA’s Strategic Plan 2020-2025: Increased Average Daily Visitor spending, increased total visitor spending, increased visitor satisfaction, and increased resident sentiment towards tourism.
