You don’t have to worry about yours Parallel parking more.

South Korean car company Hyundai Motor Company GDR HYMTF recently unveiled its new “e-corner” technology, which allows all four wheels of a car to pivot 90 degrees.

Hyundai Motor’s parts department Hyundai Mobis has released a video of the technology that allows all four wheels of a car to pivot either simultaneously or separately.

In the video, the South Korean company uses a futuristic Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV as an example to show how the new “crab driving” actually works. In the clip, the EV pulls up next to an open parking lot, and all four wheels rotate perpendicular to the curb — almost like a crab — just before the car pulls right into the gap.

“We idealize the e-corner system for the requirements of future mobility”, Cheon Jae Seunghead of Future Technology Convergence Institute at Hyundai Mobissaid after car shovels.

“We will secure various types of customized mobility solutions that can be deployed in autonomous driving and PBVs to solidify our vision to reach new heights as a mobility platform provider,” he added.

The video also showcases Hyundai’s “Zero-Turn” technology, which allows a car to perform an about-turn via a “pivot turn” in which the front wheels of the car remain stationary and the rear wheels swing outward.

The South Korean carmaker has not yet given a specific date when the new technology will be available.
