YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, bought several houses in a neighborhood for his family, friends and co-workers.

Donaldson bought five houses outside of Greenville, North Carolina, all around a cul-de-sac, the New York Post reported.

None of the houses were listed and all were bought over the counter.

Donaldson bought his own two-story home in 2018 for around $320,000. The 3,000 square foot home is complete with a breakfast bar, whirlpool tub and basketball court.

Last year Donaldson bought a house from Aaron Bowden in this area. According to Bowden, Donaldson said he plans to bring his childhood friends-turned-employees and family into each house.

“My understanding is the people [potential sellers] Persevering is similar to any reason someone would have persevered — it’s the best school district around, and they have kids in the school,” Bowden told the Post.

“Some have been there for a long time. Some people, like a neighbor, had only been there maybe a year,” the Post quoted Bowden as saying. “My immediate neighbor, she grew up in the neighborhood and her parents moved to the beach. They just moved up the street. They just moved to another house.”

In 2020, Donaldson bought his second home for $263,000 and three more homes in 2021 and 2022 for a total of $1.45 million.

MrBeast then slowly began buying up the rest of the homes surrounding him for family and associates.

donaldson celebrated his birthday on Sunday with a gift $50,000 to five lucky Instagrammers.

In January, MrBeast made headlines by paying for 1000 blind people undergo cataract surgery.
