NWTN Announces Advances in Electric Vehicle Assembly Plant in UAE and…

DUBAIUnited Arab Emirates, February 26, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — NWTN Inc. NWTNan environmentally conscious mobility technology company bringing to the world passenger-centric green premium mobility solutions (“NWTN”), today announced significant advances at two key facilities in Abu DhabiUnited Arab Emirates and Jinhua, Zhejiang, China.

NWTN completed construction of its electric vehicle (“EV”) assembly facility in Abu Dhabi Late 2022 and has since been in the final stages of device installation and trial operation. The facility has now received the required electric vehicle production and sales license issued by the UAE government, the first to be issued in China Abu Dhabi. With the assembly facility completed and the license obtained, NWTN is now ready to implement its EV design in the UAE and UAE middle East Region.

At the same time, NWTN’s first parts and supply chain plant will be located in Jinhua, Zhejiang, China has since been built rapidly Sep 2022. At this time, most of the workshop infrastructure, including stamping, welding and painting, is in the final stages of construction and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2023.

As the first UAE-based EV company to be listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, NWTN has received strong financial and political support from the local government. Works by NWTN in Abu Dhabi is its first EV assembly facility in the United Arab Emirates and is located in the Khalifa Economic Zone Abu Dhabi (“KEZAD”). It measures about 270,000 square meters. Construction of the facility began in October 2022 and was completed to the end December 2022. At present, the production line is almost complete and NWTN is working with BASF, the chemical company, on paint surface repair as well as safety training for manufacturing.
