Ohio Society of CPAs Debuts Power of Change Awards Honoring…

The Ohio Society of CPAs works to develop a thriving business environment in Ohio through advocacy and educational opportunities for business and accounting professionals. Her latest initiative recognizes those who help break down barriers to women’s career success.

The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) has launched a new recognition program to empower women known as the Power of Change. At its inaugural awards ceremony, the OSCPA celebrated 12 awardees who accelerate women’s initiatives.

Honorees were nominated by their peers for the OSCPA awards, which recognize those who serve as role models and mentors for women, champion women’s initiatives in the workplace and community, and help women break down barriers to success.

The nominations were then reviewed by OSCPA members and staff, who selected the 12 final award winners:

  • Kelli Bernstein, CPA – Vice President, Meaden & Moore
  • Betty Collins, CPA – Director, Brady Ware & Company
  • Mary Kim Elkins, CPA, JD – Senior Vice President, Eaton Corporation
  • Dani Gisondo, CPA – Partner, Marcum, LLP
  • Ebonie Jackson, CPA – CFO and Director of Administrative Services at Lucas County Children Services
  • Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA – Founder and CEO, Kaiser Consulting
  • Michal Marcus – Executive Director, HFLA in Northeast Ohio
  • Donna Sciarappa, CPA – Market leader in the Great Lakes, RSM US LLP
  • Rachel Wojtkun, CPA – Audit Senior Manager, Grant Thornton LLP
  • Jennifer Yaross, CPA – CFO, Statewide
  • Annie Yoder, CPA, CFF, CFE – President of Consulting Services, Rea & Associates
  • Kim Zavislak, CPA – Managing Partner, KPMG LLP

The award winners were announced at the recent OSCPA Women, Wealth, and Wellness conference. one of their ongoing CPE learning opportunities to help women find their voice and advance professionally. Workshop topics included:
